Massachusetts waters are known to hold large numbers of sharks. In recent years sharks breaking the 1,200 lb. mark have been caught in these waters. We have a great deal of expertise on how to make your shark charter fishing trip one you will remember for years to come.

The most abundant species to our area are Blue Sharks, Mako Sharks, Thresher Sharks, and Porbeagle sharks. During our charter shark fishing trips, multiple catches in one day is the norm, and it is common to have dozens of sharks circling the boat in our chum slick. Fishing for sharks is an experience that all fishermen should have. Angling for the apex predators is a true challenge for any angler, and our shark fishing trips aboard Akula, this is no exception. We have an incredible knowledge of both the waters we fish, and the varying shark species we fish for. Our experience with the art of shark fishing is backed up by many catches of large Mako, Thresher, and Porbeagle sharks, along with Captain Fred Lavitman's 3rd place finish in the Oak Bluffs Monster Shark Tournament in 2009.
